Scott's Blog

A place for me to condense some of my spammy stream-of-consciousness-style thoughts & opinions. Feedback and comments are eagerly welcomed, especially if they're critical. I'm a big fan of input from others in my journey for self-improvement.

15 Memorable Books I've Read

Rules: Don't take too long to think about it. List 15 books you've read that WILL ALWAYS STICK WITH YOU. They should be the first 15 you can recall in no more than 15 minutes. Tag 15 friends, including me, because I'm interested in seeing what books my friends choose.

( I tagged various people because I thought that A - They're literate, and B - They might give a darn.)

1. The Book of Mormon

2. Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card)

3. The Jungle (Upton Sinclaire)

4. The Jungle Book (don't laugh - the actual book is incredible, despite a cartoony movie)

5. The Hobbit (I love the whole Trilogy, but the Hobbit changed my life.)

6. The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (C.S. Lewis - I had Aslan bed-sheets as a kid. I read all 7 books many times)

7. Salem's Lot (Stephen King)

8. It (Stephen King - still the scariest thing I've ever read)

9. Treason (Orson Scott Card)

10. The Eye of the World (Robert Jordan - the whole series is my fave series, but the EotW is the best of 'em)

11. Centennial (James Michener)

12. Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask)

13. Watership Down (Richard Adams - one of my favorite books ever)

14. Killroy and the Gull (Nathaniel Benchley - I must've read this 60 or more times when I was young)

15. Real Love (Greg Baer - one of the most life-changing books I've ever read)
